My disabled students often have creative ideas for writing, but have difficulty getting their great ideas on paper because of their disability. We often use speech to text in the Special Education room as a writing accommodation to get their thoughts recorded on projects. We would love a printer in our classroom so that the students can have immediate access to their work in paper form. They feel a lot of pride in seeing the result of their hard effort in printed form and enjoy having a product to share with their regular classroom teachers and parents. By donating to this project you will not only create a rewarding experience for the students, you will help create increased achievement in their writing skills.
