Math is hard enough for 5 year olds to comprehend but by adding these awesome texts to our lessons seems to help them grasp things better. For example the book \"One Duck Stuck\" is a counting book. This book is about 1 duck stuck in the mud and asks for help. along came 2 fish, then 3 moose and then 4 crickets and.. Well you get the picture. The kids would begin yelling out the next number they were so excited. Other books were about shapes, adding more and patterns. Thank you for providing rick literacy to our math curriculum. The wobble seats and noise cancelling headphones have absolutely been a lifesaver for some of my kiddos. Loud assemblies, a noisy cafeteria, or even the daily buzz of the classroom is overstimulating for some students and the noise cancelling headphones have been used many times. I have also shared them with other kindergarten teachers when they have needed them. The wobble seats provide students who need extra movement input with a chance to sit in their seats but still find movement that soothes them.\r\n\r\nCrayons and dry erase markers are in constant use.
