Before this project, we had never had a reliable traveling sound system, which made it difficult to fully showcase our show choir during community performances. Now, we can take high-quality sound with us wherever we go, ensuring that our students' hard work can be heard and appreciated by every audience.\r\n\r\nThe portability of the system has also made a huge difference in our daily rehearsals. With the speaker and microphones, our show choir can run choreography more effectively, blending movement and vocals in a way that feels performance-ready. Beyond rehearsals, the microphones have brought an extra spark of joy to our program—students love using them during our Freebie Friday activities, including the occasional karaoke session that builds confidence and camaraderie. Even the 2024 GPHS Dynamic Duo winners, Ms. Xagoraris and Ms. Conway, have joined in the fun with their \"Ted Talk\" table, showing our students that music and creativity can be both professional and playful.\r\n\r\nThanks to this project, our students not only sound better but also feel more supported, engaged, and inspired. The speaker and microphones have given them the tools they need to perform at their best while also creating new opportunities for joy and connection in our classroom community.","fullyFundedDate":1748878037922,"projectUrl":"project/project-amplify-helping-every-students/9305896/","projectTitle":"Project Amplify: Helping Every Student's Voice Be Heard","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Conway","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3682336_orig.jpg?crop=495,495,x127,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746114131567","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3682336"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13521","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2914,"numTeachers":193,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":79,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.9,"schoolId":13521,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Grand Prairie High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Grand Prairie High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/grand-prairie-independent-school-district/grand-prairie-high-school/13521"}
