Many of my students came to this club in order to learn how to crochet or sew, and they have been able to learn so much quicker due to the supplies we received. One student is a regular weekly attendee and started with just extra yarn and a hook that I had in my personal supplies. Once we received these supplies from this drive, she immediately wanted to learn a new stitch, and was able to learn the steps for that stitch in just a week, instead of the several weeks it took to learn other stitches without these supplies. \r\nThey are all so excited to make new projects, and are not limited in just what I was able to bring in from home. These students are looking forward to continuing to grow in their crafts and in their self confidence! \r\nIn the fall, when talking with parents and guardians during Parent/Teacher Conferences, I had so many adults get so excited when they realized that I was the teacher that ran the club.
