Our GP students love the guiros especially the frog shaped ones. They were enchanted by the variety of guiros all over the world. We did a lesson where all the students got a turn passing out and playing a guiro. We taught them a Japanese frog song where they scraped/arraspar the guiros to the croaking of the song. Students read independently, in small groups, and during whole-class discussions. They use their homework/parent communicator folders to take books home, track reading time, and reflect on what they've read.
