  • Hermit Crabs

    Funded Jun 18, 2025

Thank you for donating to our School Hermit Crabs. They arrive with all the materials needed to keep them healthy and safe.

Currently, they are being housed in our school library with Mr. Granados, our school librarian. This way, all students, from grades TK to fifth grade, can visit the Hermit Crabs. Mr. Granados uses the Hermit Crabs, not only to teach them all about their environment and its biology, but he uses them as an inspiration for art projects, and incentives for students behavior in the library.

  • Hydroponics Vertical Garden for the Classroom

    Funded May 6, 2025

Thank you so much for funding the Hydroponics Vertical Garden.

We will start the year growing veggies and learn all about this soil free system of hydroponics. Have hands-on experience with growing from seed to plant to vegetable. Instead of farm to table, it will be from hydroponics garden to table.

Students will compare and contrast the traditional outdoor gardening with sun and soil, and the indoor hydroponics system, where there is no soil but LED lamps. Which one will be the winner or most efficient method of growing our food?”
