My students do not have the same access to computers as other students do. They are nearly always very poor members of racial minorities and all qualify for the free lunch program. My students need a tablet computer to supplement their technological capabilities and be updated with the latest trend in technology. The tablet computer will allow me to download age-appropriate educational programs to reinforce their learning. It would help me progress monitor my students' reading since most of them are English Language Learners, with the exception of two newcomers.
