Your generosity has had a meaningful and lasting impact on our learning community and has helped bring student writing to life in powerful ways. My students have worked incredibly hard to write and illustrate their own stories, including many students who are still developing their English language skills. Across all levels, students have shown persistence, creativity, and pride as they worked to express their ideas through writing.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting parts of this experience has been the anticipation of printing day. Students eagerly asked every day when we would be printing their books so they could share them with their families. They worked diligently to prepare for publication and tried their very best to edit and improve their books, paying closer attention to spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure because they knew their work would become something real that could be shared with others. Once printed, their stories became published books that students could proudly hold in their hands and take home to their families. Students were especially excited to see that their books looked like the published books they read in class, complete with a copyright page, a dedication page, an \"About the Author\" page, an ISBN number, and even a sale price of \"$20.26.\" These authentic publishing features made students feel like real authors and greatly increased their confidence and motivation as writers. I also applied this book publication idea to the ALD/ELD classes that I teach, where students come from different classrooms and learning backgrounds. These students were incredibly proud to read their stories aloud to other classes while holding a real published book in their hands. \r\n\r\nStudents not only felt proud of sharing their stories with others, but they also celebrated each other's work with excitement and encouragement. This project has created a strong sense of community while strengthening students' confidence, motivation, and belief in themselves as capable authors with important stories to tell. All of my students cannot thank you enough for believing in them and supporting them in their learning journey. Your generosity has truly made a lasting difference in their education.","fullyFundedDate":1769608472070,"projectUrl":"project/helping-our-3rd-graders-become-published/9906408/","projectTitle":"Helping Our 3rd Graders Become Published Authors!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. K","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10004137"},{"teacherId":5856763,"projectId":10172894,"letterContent":"Thank you again a million for this gift!
