I met so many wonderful people who just need someone to talk to and they just want to be acknowledged. My students wrote letter and drew pictures with a sticker. We added the oximeter monitor and blood pressure machine for those who could use it on their own. It seemed like so many elderly wear glasses so the holder was much appreciated. Students were excited to help organize the materials and have been using the manipulatives more, they know where the counters, play money, base ten blocks, dice, number cards, rulers, place-value matts are! \r\n\r\nDuring their Three-Phase Math Lessons, students engage in Problem Solving in pairs,students need manipulatives to move from the concrete, to drawing pictures, invented algorithms and eventually procedural Math, having these drawers with organized manipulatives has empowered them even more! They get up from their desks and get what they need to justify their thinking and build number sense!\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I can't thank you enough for your generosity and time to fund this project. Once finished, they were able to paint each region, which created colorful, beautiful displays of California.
