Thanks to your support, we were able to launch our Deodorant & Self-Esteem Project, which focuses on helping students feel confident, prepared, and comfortable during an important stage of their development.\r\n\r\nWe incorporated the deodorant kits into our health and PE unit on hygiene and self-care. Students learned not only how to use the items, but also why taking care of their bodies connects to confidence, social comfort, and overall well-being. One of my favorite moments was during a small-group lesson where students openly shared the challenges they face with changing bodies. Having the supplies right in front of them made the conversation feel real, practical, and supportive.\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they lit up. Some immediately asked, \"Are these really for us?\" Many were relieved—several shared privately that they didn't have access to these items at home or felt embarrassed to ask for them. Your contribution removed that barrier and gave them a moment of pure excitement, independence, and dignity.\r\n\r\nWe're continuing a mini-unit on self-esteem and healthy habits. Students will be completing a reflection activity on routines that help them feel their best—physically and emotionally. These resources will continue to be distributed throughout the year as students need them, ensuring no one is ever left feeling uncomfortable or unprepared.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making such a meaningful difference.
