Imagine Language & Literacy, a research-based program, is best utilized with headsets because students need the microphone to record and hear themselves reading, which aids in self-monitoring and motivation. \r\n\r\nAt maximum results, Imagine Language & Literacy has the capability to complement any classroom instruction by providing students the opportunity to achieve individualized reading and language skills at their greatest proficiency level. It includes adaptive, personalized, real-world connections as well as engaging activities that support students in 15 different languages. \r\n\r\nPrior to your gift, our students had headsets that were uncomfortable, worn out or stopped working. Their attention was more on the headsets than the activities or skills to be learned online. When our package arrived, the students were extremely excited to receive the new high-quality working headsets! Because of your gifts, we look forward to tremendous growth and renewed interest of motivation. So far, we have been able to use them for PTA meetings and Awards Day. Our families that need interpretation are really grateful for having this option. \r\n\r\nNormally, our EL (English Learner) parents are in these meetings and at these events with language barriers. They may or may not fully understand what is being said if there is not an interpreter. \r\n\r\nThis was our first year being able to use listening kits during Awards Day. The family members that were there for our ELs were very appreciative of this option. The interpreter we were assigned was appreciative as well, and it was her first time using them.
