My kindergarten students and I are grateful for your generous donations. We love having the multiple strings of lights in our classroom. It creates and adds beautiful color to our classroom while also adding light to the front of the room when the overhead lights need to be turned off in that area to use the projector for teaching. We love the small dust pans. They are the perfect size for the kindergarten student's small hands. They love using them to help clean up the classroom. And the large bin to store them all in is perfect. Finally, the new pencil sharpener is simply amazing. It is fast and does a great job and I can sharpen a lot of pencils in a small amount of time. Again, thank you for all of these items for our classroom. I am so thankful that I have a cabinet full of snacks that I am able to pull from during our daily snack time when students are in need. \r\n\r\nWhen my students saw the boxes come in they were full of surprise and joy! Having a variety of snacks in our kindergarten classroom has helped us avoid a lot of meltdowns and shut downs. It is very hard for anyone (let alone a 5 or 6 year old) to focus on much of anything when they are feeling hungry. Having a cabinet full of snacks allows me to offer students something from our classroom if they did not come to school with anything that day. We utilize the glue sticks on a daily basis for both math and ELA.
