All of the materials that have been purchased will allow my classes to have enough materials to support all of the students. When the students first saw the materials, they were so excited to see a fully stocked room. The pencils will be the first to go, as we can never have enough of those! The colored papers will allow me to make important handouts, like reviews, stand out among all of the other papers that the students have so they know not to throw them away and can easily find them. The whiteboard markers will ensure that all students can see the notes and examples that I am writing up in the front of the class.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to dive right into our upcoming lessons using these resources. As we work through annotation skills and reading scientific texts with a purpose next, the highlighters will be helpful for students to mark important information or tricky words. The post it notes will be used during class activities allowing all students to share their thoughts by writing them down instead of having to share in front of the class.\r\n\r\nAll in all, we are very thankful that we have a fully stocked supplies cupboard to start the school year off with in September! Thank you so much for making this possible for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1778061964840,"projectUrl":"project/vibrant-tools-for-organized-minds-suppl/10134724/","projectTitle":"Vibrant Tools for Organized Minds: Supplies for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Schwobe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10324906_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x0,y34&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761053200784","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-schwobe"},{"teacherId":9175108,"projectId":9378851,"letterContent":"The life-sized skeleton has become the centerpiece of our human anatomy lessons. Recently, during a hands-on activity, students worked in pairs to identify and label bones on the skeleton. It was incredible to see them physically interact with the model, which helped deepen their understanding of the human skeletal system in a way textbooks alone never could.\r\n\r\nThe students were thrilled and genuinely amazed by the size and detail of the skeleton. Many expressed excitement about being able to \"touch and explore\" the bones, and it immediately sparked curiosity and questions. Some even joked about becoming doctors or anatomists, which made the classroom buzz with energy.\r\n\r\nNext, students will be creating detailed bone charts and diagrams, using the skeleton as a reference. They'll also engage in a collaborative project to explore how bones work together with muscles and joints to allow movement. This hands-on approach will help them connect structure and function, preparing them for more advanced studies in biology and health sciences.","fullyFundedDate":1749268676496,"projectUrl":"project/give-a-hand-and-a-skull-help-fund-our/9378851/","projectTitle":"Give a Hand (and a Skull): Help Fund Our Skeleton!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Captain","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9175108_orig.png?crop=1039,1039,x49,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748189075784","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9175108"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_37315","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1928,"numTeachers":130,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":61,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":19,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":70.2,"schoolId":37315,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fond Du Lac High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fond Du Lac High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/fond-du-lac-school-district/fond-du-lac-high-school/37315"}
