When my students first saw the large whiteboards and classroom supplies, their excitement was immediate, they couldn't wait to start using them! The whiteboards have quickly become an essential part of our daily learning, especially during math lessons. Students use them every day to practice problems, explain their thinking, and correct mistakes in real time. The vertical workspace encourages strong spacing, clarity, and confidence, and it has transformed how actively my students participate in math.\r\n\r\nThe classroom cleaning supplies you provided have also made an incredible difference. Having tissues, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and spray readily available has helped us maintain a clean, healthy learning environment where students feel comfortable and cared for. Students take pride in helping clean their spaces, and we've built routines around responsibility and respect for our shared classroom.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students are better prepared, more engaged, and learning in a space that supports both their academic growth and well‑being. As we move forward with new math units, the whiteboards will continue to be a key tool for problem‑solving and discussion, while the cleanliness supplies help ensure our classroom stays safe and welcoming. Because of your donation, my students now have access to new speech and language materials that make learning engaging, hands-on, and meaningful. We have been using these resources during our small-group speech therapy sessions to practice articulation, expand vocabulary, and build social communication skills through structured games, visual supports, and interactive activities. One special moment occurred during a recent lesson focused on practicing speech sounds and turn-taking. Students used the new materials to play a cooperative speech game where they practiced their target sounds while waiting for their turn and encouraging their peers. It was wonderful to see students not only practicing their speech goals but also supporting one another and celebrating each other's successes.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate. Many of them eagerly asked to try the games and tools right away, and several students who are typically hesitant to participate became more motivated to join the activity. The bright visuals and interactive components helped capture their attention and encouraged them to practice their speech and language skills more confidently. It was clear that these materials helped transform therapy into something that felt fun and rewarding while still targeting important communication goals.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these resources will continue to support our ongoing lessons as students work toward improving speech clarity, expanding their language skills, and developing stronger communication with peers and teachers. The next steps for many of my students include using these materials to practice their speech sounds in longer phrases and conversations, as well as applying their communication strategies during classroom activities and social interactions. Your generosity has helped create more opportunities for my students to practice, grow, and build confidence in their voices. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1769127578862,"projectUrl":"project/des-speech-and-language/10045426/","projectTitle":"DES Speech and Language","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Shelby","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10413832"},{"teacherId":10349330,"projectId":9893210,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our Sound for Success project. Because of you, my students now have headphones to use during iReady, along with new pencils, dry‑erase markers, and erasers that support their daily learning. The headphones have been especially impactful, allowing my students to clearly hear instructions and lessons without distractions. This has helped them stay focused, work more independently, and be more engaged with their learning.\r\n\r\nThe students love the colorful headphones, and enjoy choosing their favorite colors, which makes learning feel fun and exciting. I've noticed that students who once struggled with attention are now calmer and more confident when working, because they can fully concentrate. The additional classroom supplies have also made a big difference. Having fresh pencils, markers, and erasers readily available helps students stay prepared, encourages responsibility, and keeps learning moving smoothly without interruptions.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity.
