The snacks, basketball gear and equipment we purchased helped us have the necessary tools to prepare us for success. \r\n When the snacks and the equipment arrived, the student athletes were so excited and grateful. We finally had enough basketballs for all the players to practice with. We also had food to feed all the players after school. When the socks arrived we knew we would have enough socks for the players to match and feel good about themselves while they are playing. All the players were so grateful for the kindness of others.\r\n The students enjoyed the snacks while they completed their homework during study hall and before and after games. We played in our first game over Thanksgiving week and the student wore their new snacks, played with their new basketball and consumed their new snacks. I am including a picture of our all the snacks, gear and equipment. A picture of the girls basketball team giving back and putting together holiday baskets for our families. Finally, pictures of our basketball teams in study hall and on the court.","fullyFundedDate":1757790799133,"projectUrl":"project/esco-bball-new-year-new-team-same-lov/9647898/","projectTitle":"Esco BBall: New Year! As a brand new teacher I wanted to create a classroom environment for my students that made them aware of what they will be learning but also give them materials that would spark curiosity and conversation. On the first day of school we immediately interacted with the world map during my \"get to know you\" introduction as well as during my ice breaker activity. Students loved being able to locate various countries on the map as we discussed different places visited. \r\n\r\nWe've also used the world map for a geography review of the continents, oceans, and the 5 Themes of Geography. The large display allowed students to come up and participate hands-on, which made the activity more interactive and memorable. Instead of relying only on their Chromebooks or printouts, students were able to physically engage with the map, and it made a big difference in how confident they felt about their geography knowledge.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we'll continue using the Constitution and Bill of Rights posters as we dive into our unit on government. I can already see students glancing at them during discussions, which makes our classroom feel more like a place where history and civics are alive and relevant. These materials have truly helped me create a space where students not only learn but also feel connected to the subject.","fullyFundedDate":1742936730962,"projectUrl":"project/beginning-a-love-of-history/9191099/","projectTitle":"Beginning a Love of History","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9928870"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_94340","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":918,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":21,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":32,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"20.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":77.5,"schoolId":94340,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Edmundo Escobedo Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Edmundo Escobedo Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nevada/clark-county-school-district/edmundo-elementary-schoolcobedo-middle-school/94340"}
