One moment that really stood out was during our late morning math block. Instead of feeling distracted or tired, they're able to settle in and fully participate in reading groups and discussions. It's been especially helpful for students who may not always have access to snacks during the day.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the snacks, their reactions were full of excitement and gratitude. Many of them immediately asked when they could have one, and a few even shared how happy they were to have something to eat during the school day. It created a sense of comfort and care in our classroom that's hard to put into words.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue incorporating snack time into our daily routine, especially during longer learning blocks in the morning/ afternoon. This will help students maintain their focus, regulate their energy, and stay ready to learn. We're also using this as an opportunity to build community—practicing routines like sharing, cleaning up, and expressing gratitude.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our classroom. Having fully functioning headphones has made our personalized learning time (PLT) so much more effective. My students get to work uninterrupted during this time which helps to support their normal classroom instruction on their independent levels. We used programs like Lexia (Reading support) and IXL (Math support) to create additional opportunities for them to master skills.\r\n Before this project we only had access to flimsy, cheap headphones that would get shortages in the cords easily. The students now have great quality, comfortable headphones with sturdy rope-like cords. They enjoy using them daily! These headphones are a true investment into the peaceful PLT block in our class.
