Kindle Fire tablets allow me to differentiate student work. Every day in my class we participate in math centers. I have one group of scholars at my teacher table and the rest of the class is completing independent centers. Independent centers are great, except every scholar is different and every scholar needs something different in order to succeed. Kindle Fire Tablets will give me the opportunity to give each student an individualized assignment to complete with appropriate scaffolds. If this project is funded it will not only allow me to personalize scholars' independent centers but it will also give technology access to scholars who do not get this opportunity at home. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether it is too hard or too easy for them. It will be targeted towards what they need to grow as mathematicians. Plus, in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
