These kindles will be used by accessing assignments on google classroom. There will be reading passages from articles written by real authors. After they read the passages they will be asked to answer comprehension and short-answer questions. This ensures growth in all of their language domains (reading, writing, speaking, and listening). I will be able to have two or more small groups which makes instruction even more differentiated. While one group is working on kindles I am able to pull a small group for close reading or guided reading. Then I will be able to check their work in small-groups and give feedback immediately when it is posted to google classroom.
Another way these kindles will be used is with a speaking app called Seesaw. This app gives students practice recording their voices and explaining their steps in a process while showing their work (math, science).
Lastly, I will be using these kindles to give the students access to a limitless amount of books. As a teacher, I am only able to buy a limited amount of books ,but with these kindles I will be able to allow them access to books not only on grade-level, but interest to ensure their love of reading flourishes.
