My students are loving the filled out bean bags! They use it during their breaks and when they need to calm down. We were able to use the cords to charge students AAC devices and to keep it organized in the computer cart. The Avery labels were used to label folders, bins, and student items. Labeling helps reduce confusion such as when asked to get out specific subjects or finding what belongs to them. When students are able to find what they are looking for it helps with their anxiety and helps fostering a calm learning environment. Words alone will never express how much your generosity and kindness mean to kiddos you will never meet.\r\nSadly, most kids with intellectual disabilities never get books for their classrooms and almost all never get their own books.\r\nThe kids that can read simple books love the Dogman series. Did you know the author of Dogman was diagnosed as a child with ADHD and dyslexia and struggled to read? I tell my students this author had a disability like they do and they love knowing he's successful.
