These glockenspiels have 8 removable notes in each set. These sets make it much easier for my youngest students (K4, K5, and 1st graders) to play the right notes on the steady beat. I can take the correct notes out of the sets and give one to each student and no one can play an inccorrect pitch. This allows the students to gain the fine motor skills they need to grasp and hold a mallet and to hit the note in the center of the bar. Our other xylophones and glockenspiels have 13 bars on them and it is often very diffictult for the students to aim and strike the correct bar even if they are only playing one note. I just love these instruments for my younger students. \r\n\r\nThese instruments are helping my students develop an understanding for musicical concepts like pitch, melody, and rhythm by giving them hands-on experiences. Playing these instruments also impoves listening skills, coordination and memory.
