Through this activity, my students learned how figures can be translated, reflected, and rotated while still keeping the same size and shape. It helped them clearly see that congruent figures remain identical even when they are moved or flipped in different positions. By exploring these transformations, my students developed a deeper understanding of how shapes behave on a coordinate plane and how mathematical rules allow figures to change location without changing their measurements.\r\n\r\nThis project also helped my students connect mathematics to real-world applications. They began to understand how engineers and architects use transformations to maintain the size and shape of buildings, rooms, and structural designs while positioning them in different places. \r\n\r\nLastly, the materials provided for the project were very helpful, and my students were excited to see the different options they could use.
