With the funds we were able to restart our classroom garden. In the classroom we grew lettuce, dill & basil in our hydroponic system. We have made salad, dill pickles & basil pesto pasta in class to eat! \r\nWe finally transported our plants we had been growing in our greenhouses outside in garden beds after the hurricanes. We picked our first cucumber last week to eat! It was delicious. We also are caring for our tomato & carrot plants. \r\nThis has been such a rewarding experience for the students.
