Our students are becoming little scientists as they explore nature and learn how to care for our environment.\r\n\r\nThe excitement was contagious! Their eyes lit up, and they immediately wanted to explore everything. There were lots of smiles, questions, and excited conversations. For young children, having new materials to touch, investigate, and use makes learning feel like an adventure. Their enthusiasm reminded me once again that learning truly has to be fun!\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue expanding our outdoor learning experiences. Students will plant, observe, and care for living things while documenting changes and discoveries. The silly straws and sunglasses added so much excitement and laughter to the celebration, while the bubbles and chalk encouraged creativity, movement, and teamwork outdoors. Many students talked for days about how excited they were for the party activities and how special it made them feel.\r\n\r\nSome of my students who are usually shy or reserved especially enjoyed the interactive activities during the celebration.
