When the materials first arrived, their faces lit up with curiosity and joy, they couldn't wait to use the markers, lacing beads, and Picasso tiles! One memorable moment was during a sorting activity with sorting blocks, where students eagerly worked together to categorize colors and shapes, building both fine motor skills and early math understanding.\r\n\r\nWe have added magnet tiles to both our ABC and Math Centers. In the Math Center, students use the magnets on a magnetic board to create numbers out of the tiles, while at the ABC Center, they form letters from the alphabet. This has been a wonderful way to strengthen fine motor skills while also reinforcing number and letter recognition. In our Creativity Center, students have used \"Colors of The World\" skin tone markers to represent their own skin tones in drawings and jumbo crayons to create beautiful artwork, celebrating their unique identities.\r\n\r\nStudents are currently learning about and exploring patterns with linking cubes and beads, developing critical thinking and hand-eye coordination. At the end of our unit, these tools will be placed in centers for independent practice.
