With these materials, I hope that while my students are part of my classroom they will fall in love with reading. Like I mentioned before, due to that contextual factors that my students and their families face, most of them only get access to book at school. Most of the book that I selected will help my students become successful readers as they fall in love with books. Other books on my list I have read to them, but due to lack of copies not all of them get to have a copy on their book bags. Also, because my students are bilingual and bicultural I want to find book that they can relate too because I know that this will cultivate a sense of belonging and love for their hispanic heritage.
