We've incorporated it into our i-Ready incentive program to encourage students to complete their lessons each week. Students who reach their goals are rewarded each month with a refreshing slushie, turning academic effort into something they truly look forward to. What used to feel like a routine task has now become an engaging challenge that students eagerly take on.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments came when the very first group of students earned their slushies. The entire class was buzzing with pride and joy! It was amazing to see how a simple reward could create such a strong sense of community, teamwork, and accountability.\r\n\r\nWhen the slushie machine first arrived, the excitement was unmatched. The students' faces lit up with smiles, and the room filled with laughter and cheers. They couldn't wait to earn their first slushies and immediately started setting personal goals to complete their lessons. The instant connection between effort and reward made a huge difference in their motivation.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our goal is to continue building consistency and perseverance through this program. Students are tracking their individual progress, and we're celebrating growth—no matter how big or small. The slushie machine has transformed i-Ready completion from a routine assignment into a fun, rewarding experience that fosters determination and pride in learning.
