We are a STEM school and try to provide as many opportunities as possible for our students to explore and learn in hands on ways. We hosted a 'Brick-by-Brick' family night and were able to incorporate these materials into our family night. Families were able to use the Lego cards to make creations and build using their imaginations. We received wonderful feedback and parents were able to see some of the STEM opportunities that we try to provide for their students in the classroom. Again, thank you for your donation. When I told the students that we would be getting a working Smartboard, they were truly excited. There were a few who didn't know what to expect, but they still showed interest in what was to come. This was huge, because some of my students have always been told by their parents that they are bad at math just because the parents struggled in math. The students began to think that way as well.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the Smartboard, I have seen student engagement increase. Even the students that thought they could not be successful in math are improving. They enjoy going up to the board to show how they solved the problem. One of the features that my students really like is the ability to have math competitions by solving problems side by side.
