Your generosity has already made a huge difference in how our students create and care for their artwork.\r\n\r\nBefore the drying rack arrived, finding safe places for wet paintings and projects was always a challenge. Students often had to balance their work on tables, windowsills, or any open surface we could find. Now, with the new drying rack, students have a dedicated space where their artwork can dry safely without getting smudged or damaged. It has helped our classroom stay organized and has allowed students to work more freely with paint and other wet materials.\r\n\r\nWhen the drying rack first arrived, the students were so excited. Many of them had never seen one before, and they loved sliding the shelves in and out to place their paintings. One student said it made the classroom feel like a \"real art studio.\" That moment reminded me how meaningful it is for students to feel like artists in their own creative space.\r\n\r\nWe have already started using the rack during painting projects, and it has made the process so much smoother. Students can now finish their work, carefully place it on a shelf, and return to their seats ready for the next step without worrying about where their artwork will go.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using the drying rack as students experiment with watercolor, acrylic painting, and mixed media projects. Having a safe place for artwork to dry allows us to explore more ambitious projects and gives students the confidence to take creative risks.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and in the creativity of our students. Your support helps make our art room a place where students can explore, experiment, and feel proud of the work they create.","fullyFundedDate":1764866719647,"projectUrl":"project/brushes-canvases-and-confidence/9663146/","projectTitle":"Brushes, Canvases, and Confidence","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2505417_orig.jpg?crop=505,505,x480,y30&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1605719600071","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2505417"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_99430","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":416,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":73,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":85,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":54.8,"schoolId":99430,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about City Neighbors High School 376 on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"City Neighbors High School 376","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/baltimore-city-public-school-district/city-neighbors-charter-high-school-376/99430"}
