I inadvertently ordered a wooden wagon instead of a metal one. The metal wagons strain under the heavy usage from an entire grade school. Yes, even fifth grade students still like to ride in the wagons. Side note: I took my seventeen-year-old daughter to a laundry mat to clean a weighted blanket. After loading the machine and putting in the soap she asked if she could put the money in the machine. They're still all kids at heart.\r\n\r\nI knew a wooden wagon would never survive a day on the playground. The other PreK teacher has noticed my struggles moving all of our Special Olympics equipment in and out every day and she suggested a swap. The metal Special Olympics wagon with low sides went to the playground and the new wooden wagon with the high sides stayed in. What could it be? A million questions later we open the box. Because the trampoline is folded up it started a whole new line of questioning as I pulled pieces out of the box. Did I mention that my class is essentially non-verbal? Having a big box of ??? is such a great motivator. It became a whole class project to assemble the trampoline. I felt like a dad on Christmas morning. Normally, putting the trampoline would take about ten minutes; with my helpers it took an hour.
