The headphones are currently hanging in our classroom for easy access. There are many days where I see students go and get a pair to use for the class. This could be during \" Starbucks mode\" where students work silently while listening to music, or during a test so the question can be read aloud. \r\n Headphones are so important when taking a test because it allows the question to be read to the student. Many students struggle understanding what a math question is asking simply because they do not know how to read it, or they don't know what the question is asking. Even as adults, we find it easier to answer a question someone asks us directly rather than reading and writing our response. Our students are exactly the same!
