New marching snare drums will affect far more than just the percussionists. With an appropriate drumline, the entire band will be able to do much more than we can now. We have been invited to participate in two parades this spring and we hope to be able to perform at the local minor league ballpark, along with the 54 members of the chorus. A new set of marching snare drums will make this possible. These instruments are not in my budget for this year or the next, but I would really like to take advantage of my students' enthusiasm right now.

About my class
