They were also the perfect afternoon snack after a long day. \r\n\r\nThe whiteboard marker holder--as well as the markers themselves--was used to make it easy to edit my whiteboard calendar which shows the students all the upcoming relevant dates and deadlines. This helped them plan ahead and get a better handle on their workloads. \r\n\r\nEvery minute counts in the classroom, the more time there is for direct instruction and independent practice the more time the students have to master the skills that they need to thrive. The pens and pencils helped erase \"useless\" time where students had to go to their lockers because they forgot their supplies. Plus, if the students could not afford supplies then I could easily solve the issue without them feeling singled out.\r\n\r\nLastly, the index cards helped my Public Speaking students properly prepare and rehearse for their speeches.","fullyFundedDate":1763492410949,"projectUrl":"project/new-year-new-classroom-supplies/9605114/","projectTitle":"New Year, New Classroom Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Friedlander","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9725990"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33980","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":758,"numTeachers":41,"percentFrplEligible":82,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":39,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":55,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"18.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.8,"schoolId":33980,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Charter School of Education Excellence on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Charter School of Education Excellence","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-state-department-education/charter-school-of-educl-excell/33980"}
