My classroom needs 27 bins for underneath the student's desks to hold their school supplies. That way when they change into groups, working in pairs or even moving things around for experiments, their supplies (which are hard to come by) can stay together and in pristine condition. We believe in student centered learning and these bins will help to facilitate that! My students are constantly moving their desks and working in different groups. The students spend a lot of time working in centers, and we change our desks to fit our learning. The students right now are stacking their books on the floor. Since we have a lot of kids and they tend not to be the most graceful creatures in 6th grade, our books have become ripped and torn. Too much time is being spent looking for books that ended up across the room that would be better spent learning.
