I looked everywhere, but could not find any new \"gear sets\" for lego. I finally ended up just changing the request to be a few Lego models that were allowed to be ordered that I thought had some \"cool\" parts that would be useful for the robotics club! The essentials kit was like a \"mini\" spike prime, with a computer block to run robots and some pieces like the spike prime; however, the computer block only has 2 ports (vs 6) and the kit has significantly less parts, no large motors; however, 2x small motors that are not available anywhere else. The small motors are nice because the students can mount them on top of the larger motors and they are competing to get primary use of them. Their have been teams trying to \"trade in\" their \"old\" large motors for the new ones because they felt that their motors had warn down due to a heavy year of year and tear, but I assured them that all motors wear down, and that is expected, and that is why we reset our motors to the zero position before every run, that way they have more precise predictable results.\r\n That being said, I did allow teams that wanted to exchange a medium motor in for the large motor if they could justify the cause. Some teams had a robot that could definitely benefite from the more \"torque\" strong large motor and were able to justify their response. They showed they learned something and got a new tool for their teams!
