Students will be producing stop-motion films in-class. We need stop-motion software. Students will gain professional exposure while engaging in project based learning. Throughout the year, students will be telling their own narrative stories, first, orally in an interview format and then, second, as a written narrative. Finally, students will animate their personal narratives in the stop-motion format. This will give them opportunity not only tell their own story, but make it come to life. I believe that this project will not just benefit those who will go on to have a future in the entertainment industry but those who will not. My students will get to flex their creative muscles and become more creative thinkers. I am also requesting a stop-motion textbook to help my students learn theory, techniques, and strategies. In addition, I am requesting Dragonframe software which is professional-grade 3D animation software to help students seamlessly edit their animation projects.
