These materials will allow us to read a text, The Little Prince, in common across all of my classes so that all students can have a communal experience and be able to discuss their ideas with one another. We are using The Little Prince as a one book experience within our classroom, just as cities and libraries use a 1 book experience to promote community. We plan to use this text specifically to add to our inquiry about the connections between empathy, compassion, creativity, and identity. This text is perfect for this inquiry and will lead to much open discussion.
