The donated materials have truly made such an impact already on our learning and will continue to do so throughout the rest of the year. \r\n\r\nFirst, the pencils you supplied through this project have impacted every student every day! Pencils are such an important supply, but they are used often and lost often. It has been so great to have such an ample supply. We use the pencils in our pencil rental station where students are responsible for loaning them out and returning them at the end of the day. This way, we are still responsibly using the pencils to stretch our supply throughout the year! \r\n\r\nMy students' favorite item you donated was the whiteboard markers. They LOVE getting to use our class set of whiteboards in math class. It adds a level of fun to their work and also allows them to make mistakes and easily fix them with a swipe of an eraser. We are constantly using our whiteboards and markers to organize mathematical thinking and processes. They were particularly helpful when we were adding and subtracting with fractions and mixed numbers with unlike denominators. This is often a daunting process, but we were able to organize the steps using our whiteboards and simplify the process. Similarly, we got to use a dry-erase math mat to help with the process of long division with double-digit divisors. Again, this tricky skill was made simpler and more fun because we had access to whiteboard markers, so thank you!\r\n\r\nFinally, you also helped to supply prizes for our class prize machine. Students love to get prizes for going above and beyond in class and throughout the school building. My students strive to be role models in their learning and behavior, and it is nice to have prizes to reward their hard work. They really like getting the squishy toys and the pull back cars have become a new favorite!\r\n\r\nOverall, your support has impacted the school day for my students in so many ways. The reading and math tools have helped reinforce foundational skills, increase confidence, and support steady academic progress across grade levels. We are already seeing stronger engagement, improved accuracy, and a more positive attitude toward learning.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the cleaning supplies have had a powerful impact on our classroom environment. This year, we have seen a noticeable decrease in illness-related absences, allowing students to remain healthy, present, and focused on learning. A clean and safe classroom has made a real difference in supporting consistent instruction and student well-being.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a healthier, more productive learning space where students can thrive academically and emotionally. Every morning students collect their toolkit to get ready for a fun filled day of learning. The best part is when a supply runs out, I have a new one ready to go! It has always been difficult to replace supplies throughout the year, making projects difficult. I was even able to stock our Writing Center with scissors, colored pencils, and erasers. Simply being able to turn pages on their own has boosted confidence, engagement, and ownership during reading activities.\r\n\r\nThese durable books also allow us to tailor visual features—color, contrast, spacing, and simplicity—to support functional vision use.
