As the weather is getting warmer and the schools reopening fully to bring back all students in two weeks. Students need to stay hydrated and be as safe as possible. My students come from low-income households that are struggling to keep up with bills. Most of them have their main meals at school. Help me supply these students with water bottles to stay hydrated throughout the day as we go outside for recess, gym, and mask breaks but because of COVID, the students are not able to get water from the water fountains. If parents cannot afford water bottles, students' hydration comes from the milk or juice from lunch or breakfast. These water bottles will be coming in from home filled and be readily available all day for students' use. I also ask for help to give them a layer of protection while enjoying free meals at school. I have noticed that they are not comfortable eating their food for fear of the virus. They pull down their mask, take a bite of food, and quickly pull their mask over their faces to chew. Face shields will go a long way for these children to enjoy their meals.
