The LCD boards have become a powerful motivator—students who stay focused and on task are chosen to use them during phonics lessons, which has greatly increased enthusiasm and participation. The bonsai tree project has been an exciting way to engage my students who are especially interested in plants and science, helping them connect classroom learning to the world around them. The clicker has given me the ability to teach from anywhere in the room, making it easier to move between students and offer help right when they need it. The Writing Revolution book has given me valuable strategies for incorporating writing into all subject areas, leading to stronger communication skills across the curriculum. Lastly, the math manipulatives have provided meaningful hands-on learning opportunities, giving students the extra practice and support they need to build confidence with challenging math concepts.\r\n\r\nThanks to this project, my classroom has become a more engaging, flexible, and supportive learning environment for every student.\r\nThank you!","fullyFundedDate":1756936453952,"projectUrl":"project/usbe-ai-for-k-12-education/9644403/","projectTitle":"Usbe Ai for K-12 Education","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Avery","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9765496"},{"teacherId":4577963,"projectId":6073534,"letterContent":"Using Wisconsin Fast Plants in our 7th grade classroom brought science to life. Students observed the whole plant life cycle in just weeks, which kept them engaged and excited. They designed experiments, collected data, and explored heredity through real plant crosses. Caring for the plants built responsibility and teamwork, while connections to math and writing deepened learning. The grant gave students an authentic, hands-on science experience. \r\n\r\nOverall, introducing Wisconsin Fast Plants into our seventh-grade classroom brought science to life. The students were more engaged, more curious, and more willing to take risks in their learning. They left the unit with a stronger understanding of life cycles, heredity, and the nature of science. Most importantly, they experienced the excitement of discovery and the joy of nurturing living things, outcomes that went far beyond the original grant request.","fullyFundedDate":1639944660375,"projectUrl":"project/growing-genetics-exploration/6073534/","projectTitle":"Growing Genetics Exploration","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McGrath","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4577963_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1501100220484","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-lonsdale"},{"teacherId":4577963,"projectId":8527553,"letterContent":"Thank you for your support of 'Creating Counting Collections.' The materials purchases with the grant were put into counting collection kits to support teachers in multiple grade levels. Teachers completed counting collection professional development which helped them implement counting collections in their classrooms. \r\n\r\nIn grades K - 3, students used the kit materials to practice counting to build their number sense. Students worked individually or in partners to count a variety of different counting collections. Your support of this program allowed us to supply our students with a variety of items to count. They've counted everything from mini resin ducks to vintage keys to pom poms. As students continued their work with counting collections, they 'graduated' to larger counting collections to continue to build their number sense.","fullyFundedDate":1722475341488,"projectUrl":"project/creating-counting-collections/8527553/","projectTitle":"Creating Counting Collections","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McGrath","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4577963_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1501100220484","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-lonsdale"},{"teacherId":6905829,"projectId":9247229,"letterContent":"My classroom library has been updated thanks to your generosity! As we have started a new school year, students are already exploring these books with enthusiasm, and it's been amazing to see their excitement as they discover stories that resonate!\r\nBecause of your donations, students have greater access to resources that encourage a love of reading! These books will make a lasting impact in my classroom for years to come.\r\nOn behalf of my students, I sincerely thank you for your support. In our classroom, students earn tickets as part of a rewards system designed to encourage positive behavior. These tickets are awarded for being in the right place at the right time, exhibiting positive behaviors, and going above and beyond with extraordinary actions.\r\n\r\nThe donated prizes play a key role in this system. Each week, students have the opportunity to exchange their tickets for these prizes, creating an exciting incentive to strive for their best. This system not only reinforces good habits but also teaches valuable life skills like goal-setting, delayed gratification, and responsibility.\r\n\r\nThe impact of these prizes is evident in the classroom atmosphere. Students are more eager to participate, help their peers, and follow classroom expectations. The tangible rewards serve as a reminder that their efforts are recognized and appreciated, boosting their confidence and self-esteem.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, the variety of prizes ensures that every student finds something motivating and meaningful to work toward. Whether it's a small toy, a book, or a classroom privilege, each prize symbolizes the hard work and positive choices made by the students!\r\n\r\nIn essence, the generosity of donors has helped create a supportive and enthusiastic learning environment where students are motivated to be their best selves every day. This small act of kindness has had a ripple effect, encouraging growth, cooperation, and a sense of community in our classroom.
