A small token can go a long way. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new shop items, they were so excited. There were big smiles and lots of \"I love our Cougar shop!\" They couldn't wait to learn how the store worked and what they could do to earn rewards. Almost right away, I noticed students reminding each other to make good choices.\r\n\r\nBy supporting this project, you truly gave our students something to look forward to and feel proud of. Our next steps are helping students connect their positive behavior to their learning, like working well in groups during math or showing respect during reading time. We're also starting to talk about setting goals and reflecting on how our choices help our classroom run smoothly. This allows them to listen while avoiding interrupting or distracting their classmates.\r\n\r\n*When they need to watch an educational video again, they can do so privately using the headphones.\r\n\r\nIn my teaching, I have achieved, among other things:\r\n\r\n*More motivation for students who are musically inclined to work individually while listening to music. Breakout Boxes also build collaboration and communication, as students quickly learn that success comes from listening, sharing ideas, and working as a team.
