Students have particularly drawn interest to the Lil' Libros Vámonos book series, which transports them to different Latinx countries. Some of my students have families who live in Central and South America, and hearing them express how they make connections with their classmates about similarities or differences is the kindest gift.\r\n\r\n\r\nBeing part of a 50/50 dual language immersion program means my students need to keep their areas organized. This can get quite overwhelming with notebooks, pencil cases, and Chromebooks. However, the donated book bins have saved my students and me lots of hassle in terms of ensuring their workspaces allow them to work efficiently and maintain their supplies neatly tucked away in the classroom.\r\n\r\nLastly, place value pocket charts have allowed me to carry through differentiated lessons and provide visual aids for my students who need that picture-to-word connection. As previously mentioned, my classroom is a dual language, and I specifically teach the Spanish portion of my partnership. They were eager to jump in, explore, and try everything. Many students commented on how bright, colorful, and \"professional\" the equipment looked.
