Using the \"wh\" picture scene flip book, I can ask \"wh\" questions as well as have students label actions, emotions, and nouns. Using the verb sequencing cards, I can support students learning present progressive verbs, as well as regular and irregular past tense verbs, and story sequencing. Students are able to work on categories while playing the \"Group it\" game. Each material has been used on a daily basis. It also is so rewarding when a student is excited to find the secret stories in words that we are learning. We are very grateful to be able to use the Secret Stories in our classroom. It has made a true difference in how well students are learning to read. Because the Secret Stories are supplemental we are able to use them almost daily. Students know they can look up at our wall and find the pattern they need while they are writing.
