This is the first year my class has won \"Attendance Champs\" and I think the air purifier is partially responsible for our success. In order to win, the class has to have perfect attendance for the week, we were SO EXCITED to win and I was so happy to have all my students here to learn!\r\n\r\nThe math manipulatives, dry erase boards and life size hopscotch have made class more hands on and fun. We love hoping on our hopscotch board while we count and picking our favorite sea creatures to build our numbers. The dry erase boards erase like a dream and we are always excited to use them to draw our thinking.\r\n\r\nYour contributions have made the class healthier, happier and more independent. They immediately began exploring the different areas; some curled up on the pillows with a book, others tested out the lap desks during writing time, and several students eagerly hopped from tile to tile on our new sensory path. It was such a joyful moment that truly showed how much these resources meant to them.\r\n\r\nSince then, the materials have become part of our daily routines. The library bench and pillows have made our reading corner a cozy, inviting space, and I've already noticed students choosing to spend more time reading independently. The sensory tiles have given my students safe and fun ways to get their energy out, which helps them refocus for learning. During small groups, manipulatives and tools have made our math and literacy lessons more hands-on and engaging, giving students multiple ways to show their understanding.","fullyFundedDate":1748971999742,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-and-inclusive-learning/9392909/","projectTitle":"Flexible and Inclusive Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chiappari","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8429965_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748555866750","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8429965"},{"teacherId":8429965,"projectId":9388807,"letterContent":"Essential school supplies like clipboards, cleaning supplies, headphones, and storage play a critical role in creating a productive and safe learning environment for my kindergarteners. Clipboards give students the freedom to move around the room while completing activities, encouraging engagement, independence, and active learning. They're especially helpful during small-group work or when we take learning outside the traditional classroom setting.\r\n\r\nCleaning supplies help us maintain a healthy, sanitized classroom, which is especially important for young children who are still developing hygiene habits. A clean space reduces illness-related absences and keeps students focused and comfortable throughout the day. When students feel safe and their environment is well cared for, they are more likely to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.\r\n\r\nHeadphones and organized storage systems also support essential parts of our daily learning. Headphones allow students to focus during digital activities, helping with individualized instruction like phonics practice or educational games. Storage solutions keep our classroom materials accessible and tidy, teaching kids responsibility and creating a calm, organized space. These supplies may seem small, but they have a big impact on how effectively my students can learn, grow, and succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1748794668765,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-essentials/9388807/","projectTitle":"Classroom Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chiappari","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8429965_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748555866750","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8429965"},{"teacherId":8429965,"projectId":9385149,"letterContent":"This project made a powerful difference in my kindergarten classroom by providing sensory tools that helped students feel calm, focused, and ready to learn. Many young children need support with self-regulation, and these tools gave them safe, healthy ways to manage their emotions and energy levels. Whether it was a fidget item to keep hands busy or a weighted lap pad for calming during storytime, each tool helped create a more inclusive and supportive learning space.\r\n\r\nBecause of these materials, I was able to meet the needs of a wider range of learners and reduce disruptions caused by overstimulation or anxiety. Students were better able to concentrate during lessons, transition more smoothly between activities, and participate more fully in classroom routines. I noticed improved engagement and confidence, especially in students who previously struggled with focus or behavior.\r\n\r\nYour generosity helped make our classroom a place where all students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. When they brushed the water onto their creations and watched the primary colors blend to produce secondary colors they got excited. They thought it was magic! Without the Payons my students would have not been able to really see the colors blend. I have tried this with paint and the young students mix it all together and make brown. The Payons allowed them to control where they applied the colors and the clear water on the brushes did not interfere with their work. Our current project for first grade is creating a collage titled \"Under the Sea.\" We discuss colors and what we learned from the Color Theory project in order to make the sea appear to different colors at different depths.\r\n\r\nI am most excited about the frames. Every student and staff member loves to walk by my classroom and view the latest artwork. Because of your generosity I was able to create an Art Gallery outside of my classroom. All of my Visual Art students express how wonderful it would be to have their artwork displayed for the entire to see. It was nice to see them learn from each other while participating in a non traditional paper and pencil approach. These games have assisted them with becoming better speakers, listeners and increasing their vocabulary skills. \r\n\r\nWhen I showed my students all of the new learning supplies initially, they were very surprised. They were excited about using all of them, although we couldn't use them all at once. I informed that some generous people donated to my project to give them additional learning supplies to use for our ELD small group. They asked what a donor was, so of course a teachable moment was to explain someone that gives to great causes like mine to assist teacher\r\n\r\nMy next steps is to utilize the writing kit and Time Life for Kids to increase my students writing and comprehension of informational text.
