My school district is very diverse and I want my classroom to reflect that. Every student should feel represented. In order to maximize learning potential each and every student must feel welcome and wanted. I chose to teach in the county I do because of the diversity. All of my children will be represented on the carpet I chose. As I am required to call the children to the large group instruction area several times each day, I want to provide a safe space to make sure each and every one of them has a place to feel safe.
