Children deserve to see themselves in the stories we read. This project will provide my class with a rich selection of diverse, inclusive read-alouds, that I plan to use throughout my instruction. These books celebrate the diversity of the world around us and normalize marginalized experiences. The diversity of our community — racial, ethnic, gender, religion and sexual orientation — is our strength.
