My students were so excited when they came to the room at the beginning of the year and saw the new materials, games and activities. We have been using them since the start of school, and I can already see growth in my students. \r\n\r\n-The storytelling kits have really helped my younger students to get involved with the story. They are eager to use the pieces to help sequence the story, and the hands on visuals have helped increase their comprehension. The answer buzzers also make answering questions fun! My students who are non-verbal have really been enjoying the answer buzzers too. Using the buzzers allows them to use their \"voice\" to actively participate with their peers. I love seeing the excitement on their faces. \r\n-The puzzles and hands on manipulatives have been great to use for reinforcement during my sessions. The kids enjoy working for puzzle pieces or manipulatives to create something their own! \r\n-I personally have enjoyed the office supplies. Cardstock, pens, laminating pouches. Having these materials allows me to create other activities to utilize with all my students. \r\n\r\nHelping kids grow in their communication skills and truly find his/her own unique voice is something I will never get tired of! My students were so excited to see we had a charging station. Prior to receiving the item, students were constantly struggling to stack, organize, and untangle their charger in order to put it away. Because of this, many students returned to school the next day with a dead Chromebook. Receiving the Chromebook charging station changed the way our students use and care for their technology. \r\nStudents were so excited to see how easy it now is to properly care for their chrome books. When it is time to pack up, they simply walk over the charging station, place it in their number slot, and plug it up with the charger that is threaded through their spot. It has saved a tremendous amount of time and headache when packing up at the end of the day. \r\nWe can not thank you enough for helping make this project come to life! It is such a small change with a big impact. My students wanted me to personally thank all of our family members, friends, and strangers to help make this happen. My classroom is now more organized and students have a fully charged Chromebook when they walk into school the next morning.","fullyFundedDate":1746804228697,"projectUrl":"project/the-charger-challenge/9307517/","projectTitle":"The Charger Challenge","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fouts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10010905_orig.png?crop=731,731,x171,y757&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746127093332","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10010905"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_11238","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":600,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":74,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"18.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":83.3,"schoolId":11238,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Benton Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Benton Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/bossier-parish-school-district/benton-elementary-school/11238"}
