This year we are introducing our students to Zearn, a computer based curriculum that not only reinforces classroom instruction, but also stimulates their little brains with fun technology, graphics and gaming. STEM and art go hand and hand in first grade. We need eight Chromebooks in our classroom so I can encourage my students to learn while having fun; something that gets harder to do with the incorporation of traditional gaming devices at such a young age. As parents and teachers, we are constantly competing with our children's love of gaming. Zearn gives my students both!! Fun games and a top notch educational experience! Having a class set of Cchromebooks would allow me to reach each of my students with this exciting program as well as other opportunities with STEM/Art projects on a daily basis!
