One exciting moment was when students worked in small groups to see which objects the magnets could attract and which could not. Their curiosity and collaboration were amazing to watch, as they discussed ideas, tested hypotheses, and adjusted their experiments to see different outcomes.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the magnet kits, their reactions were full of excitement and wonder. Many were fascinated by how objects could move without touching them and immediately wanted to try every activity in the kit. The clear instructions and engaging experiments made it easy for them to dive right in and explore the scientific concepts behind magnetism while developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we are incorporating the magnet kits into our science lessons on forces, energy, and motion. Students are planning their own mini-experiments and designing challenges to see how magnets interact with different materials. While many donors may be familiar with technology at home, in our classroom this 3D printing technology is a powerful learning tool. Students use it to design, problem-solve, and think critically as they move from an idea on paper to a physical object. We have also used this technology to create fidget and calming tools for our classroom, helping students design items that support focus, self-regulation, and emotional needs. Through this process, students learn that mistakes are part of learning as they revise and improve their designs.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is seeing their digital designs become real, tangible objects. Watching a fidget or calming tool they designed print layer by layer is incredibly motivating and meaningful, especially when they know it will be used to support themselves or classmates. It gives learning real purpose and shows students that their ideas can positively impact their learning environment.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who typically struggle with engagement or self-regulation have especially connected with this technology. Some students who learn best through hands-on experiences have thrived, while others have taken pride in creating tools that help them stay calm and focused.
