Many of my students are kinesthetic learners who need to move. These Learniture Active Learning Stools are amazing because they help them to stay focused in small group settings while having that freedom of motion without distracting others. We desperately need alternatives to traditional seating in my classroom. We need wobble seats and cushions that can easily be moved around the room to support collaborative group work, be used in guided reading and math groups, at computers, and be an option for students to use on their desk chairs or at their desks. We do a lot of project based learning and wobble seats and cushions will help students with the need to move, focus! Students can bounce around while learning new skills. Movement is essential! By donating to this project, you are investing in the movement of our young learners! It is important for my student to have access to technology and foster their love of learning and staying current with our ever-changing world. However, there is a lot of sitting that takes place during computer time. These seating options will bring movement into more aspects of my classroom, even during work time. When students are comfortable they will perform better on tasks, enjoy learning and working with others, all while increasing their academic capabilities.
