My students were excited to receive the weekly incentives when they earned perfect attendance, and they were even more excited about the monthly prizes because they were larger rewards. Over time, the attendance incentive became a meaningful part of our classroom culture. Students looked forward to it each week, especially those who had struggled with attendance in the past.\r\n\r\nIt was especially rewarding to see the excitement and pride on students' faces when they earned a weekly prize for perfect attendance. For some students, simply being recognized for showing up consistently was a powerful motivator.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, all of my students who had poor attendance the previous school year demonstrated significant growth in their attendance. Several students showed double-digit improvements in their attendance rates. This experience reinforced for me that creating a positive, consistent, and exciting culture around attendance can encourage students to prioritize coming to school and being present for their learning.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generous contribution to this project.
